The 7Q Foundation

Born from the experiences of Zidan Ali, a spirited boy , who has a genetic deletion on chromosome 7Q, the 7Q Foundation was founded to support families navigating the complexities of special needs after its founder encountered significant gaps in services, supports, and inclusive opportunities while walking this journey firsthand.

Through lived experience, it became clear that families were often left piecing together care, enrichment, and community on their own, facing fragmented systems, limited access, and a lack of programs designed with the whole child and whole family in mind. Rather than accepting these barriers as the norm, The 7Q Foundation was created to help bridge those gaps.

Rooted in the belief that inclusion is not about forcing individuals to fit into existing systems—but about evolving communities, programs, and environments to meet people where they are—the Foundation set out to design thoughtful, responsive, and meaningful solutions.

With the support of a dedicated community in Virginia, The 7Q Foundation develops and delivers innovative programs and services that foster belonging, access, and opportunity for children and families of all abilities. From therapeutic and enrichment programs to inclusive camps, education, and community partnerships, the Foundation exists to turn unmet needs into impactful action.

The 7Q Foundation was officially launched on May 26, 2024, marking the beginning of a mission driven by compassion, purpose, and the belief that when communities come together, meaningful change is possible.
