Nature Class

Day in the Life of an Outdoor Explorer!

8:45 AM: The day starts with excited chatter as campers arrive. We meet in the morning circle to talk about our outdoor adventure goals. We share what we’re hoping to discover during the week—whether it’s a new bug, bird, or plant!

9:00 AM: We head outside for a morning nature walk through the woods, listening to the sounds of the birds, the wind in the trees, and the rustling of leaves. We keep an eye out for any animals and new discoveries!

10:00 AM: Snack time! After a good walk, we rest and enjoy nature-themed snacks like trail mix and apple slices. Campers take this time to share their favorite discoveries so far.

10:15 AM: After the break, we engage in a creative craft session where we make “Nature Journals” to document the plants, animals, and rocks we find. We press leaves, sketch flowers, and jot down fun facts we learn along the way.

11:00 AM: It’s time for a scavenger hunt! We divide into teams and set off to find natural treasures around camp—pinecones, acorns, feathers, or something unique. The race is on!

12:00 PM: Lunch is served in the outdoor picnic area, and we enjoy our meals while listening to bird songs and the rustle of leaves. We share fun facts about the critters we’ve spotted today.

12:45 PM: After lunch, we head to the forest for some “nature playtime.” We’ll build mini forts with sticks, play hide and seek, and test our tree-climbing skills.

1:30 PM: The afternoon session is a nature obstacle course! We jump over logs, crawl under trees, and race through a mini “forest” that challenges our agility.

2:15 PM: After all that adventure, we gather for a relaxing calm-down session. We listen to nature sounds or practice “animal yoga,” stretching and pretending to be bears, snakes, and frogs.

2:45 PM: In the closing circle, campers reflect on their favorite discoveries of the day, and we award “Nature Explorer” certificates to everyone who participated enthusiastically.
